Yes, of course, librarians have conferences, too!

Librarians Kathy House and Sheree West attended the Montana Library Association's annual conference this past week, held this year in Great Falls.

Both librarians attended workshops and presentations to bring heaps of fresh new ideas to our library-neck-of-the-woods!

Sheree even presented a poster done on a research project she did at the library this year... (pictured above). Go, Big Sky Community Library! Yes, that's right, we do have things to share with the rest of the state...

Coming up in April:

Kathryn Brown, illustrator of children's books, Tough Boris, The Old Woman Who Named Things, and many more, will be coming to visit us!

During her stay in Big Sky as Ophir School's Artist-in-Residence April 7th - 11th, Kathryn has generously offered to come to Big Sky Community Library's Preschool Story Time! Come one, come all, for a Tough Boris pirate Story Time- tell all of your friends! 10:30 am on Monday, April 7th.

Yellowstone to Yukon Multimedia Adventure

This Wednesday, March 5th
6:00 p.m. Book signing and refreshments
7:00 p.m. Presentation

At the Big Sky Library, Ophir School

This stunning slideshow of Schulz’s breathtaking photos is embedded with music and sounds from nature, creating an experience you don’t want to miss.

The hour-long program is appropriate for school-aged children and will be a great introduction to the importance of the larger environment in which we live. (Please contact me if you have younger children you need care for.)
